1969 Jensen Interceptor Mk I
1969 Jensen Interceptor £Sold
Very rarely does a good Mk I Jensen Interceptor come up for sale, which makes this one in exceptional condition all the more pleasurable.
We are very happy to have for sale – on behalf of the current owner – a fantastic 1969 Jensen Interceptor Mk I.
The current owner started with a very good quality car with a solid shell and had a top class paint job carried out. The engine and running gear were also treated to the same high quality work.
The car then went to a high end Jensen specialist for the car to be made even better. The addition of a truly stunning interior created one of the best colour combinations we have seen on an Interceptor. A huge list of new parts were fitted and the car was finally ready to be used every day.
Indeed the owner then used the car for the next 50 out of 52 weeks (we understand he went on holiday for a fortnight!). The Interceptor has never let him down and is testament to the large amount of money spent on getting things right.
The car is now offered for sale for the only reason that the current owner has embarked on a massive restoration of a Jensen FF.
We have driven many 60s and 70s cars here at Pale Classics and this is by far the best we have driven, period.
The engine pulls very well, coupled to one of the best changing gearboxes and a subtle Mk I exhaust system. To say that this Interceptor is refined is somewhat of an understatement.
We were lucky to be approached by Classic Car magazine in search of a top example of a Jensen Interceptor Mk I. We provided this car for their assessment, the details of which can be found in the May 2017 edition (out from 21st March 17).
